Great companion to the O-III |

Because this filter has broader bandwidth than the O-III, it makes for a good choice when using smaller exit pupils. Some objects don't respond well to the O-III, but do in this, due to the wider bandwidth.
For instance, the Horse Head nebula was visible in this filter, yet invisible in the O-III. The Veil stands out nicely using this filter, as does the loop in M42. While the O-III does give better contrast on certain objects, this filter seems to be more versatile. It's even better than my old Meade O-III.
