If I could, I'd give Don and EyepiecesEtc a "Pleiades Award" -- a 7star rating instead of the usual 5. Thank you, Don.
Is the 23mm Pentax a good investment? All I can say is I'm satisfied with it after a brief trial evaluation under a sky brightly illuminated by a first quarter Moon. Deep Sky performance seems to be on par with my other top tier eyepieces. For the record, I used a 94mm f/5.5 apo to sweep the Milky Way through Cassiopeia to Auriga. How well the Pentax will work with my 5.1" f/8 refractor or the 12.5 and 18" f/5 reflectors remain to be seen but I don't think I'll be disappointed.
