5 of 5 Opens new doors to new urban astronomers April 28, 2021
Reviewer: Mark from Pleasanton, CA United States
I recently resumed astronomy after a long hiatus (20+ years) so I've forgotten nearly everything I learned before, and getting reacquainted with the night skies was tougher than I expected. I live in the East Bay Area, so light pollution is a major problem for me, so these factors led me to try the Nexus DSC system.

The instructions to install the encoders are pretty clear, but it took me awhile to finally get them on correctly.
So after a quick encoder test, it was ready for a star test.

The full moon was out, so if this system was going to work, this would put it to the test.

I've been trying to find M101, M81/82 and M51 all Winter with no luck, and within minutes of using the Nexus Pro, I quickly found them. 15 more Messier objects followed with no problems.

So to sum up, these encoders work perfectly, and I would encourage any frustrated urban light polluted star hoppers out there to check out the nexus system.
